Kreator terms

These are the terms for artists and hosts who claim their page on Karma. Plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, ask us before you tick.

You confirm that you control the Instagram account you are claiming, that you are 18 or older, and that the name and details you give are yours. If you claim a page that isn't yours, we will remove the claim and may suspend your wallet.

Once we've confirmed the account is yours and approved your claim, your community pick becomes your page. You get a Karma wallet, you can edit your name, photo and bio, and the rewards people set aside for you before you joined are moved to your wallet. People who staked with you stay with you.

Getting you started. So your page works the moment you claim it, we may set it up with what you already show publicly on the account you claimed: your name, profile photo and bio. It's your page from that moment. Change or remove any of it whenever you like.

Your photo, bio and anything else you add to your page stay yours. You give Karma permission to show them in the Karma app and on karmaterminal.com for as long as you are on Karma. You can change or remove them any time. When you leave, we stop showing them.

People on Karma can choose you to share in the rewards from their staking. Your share is paid in κ into your wallet. We don't promise any amount, any value, or that κ can be exchanged for anything. Taxes on what you receive are yours to handle. Being on Karma does not make you an employee, agent or partner of Karma.

5a. Name and handle (part of these terms). Karma may say that you are on Karma, using your name and handle, inside the app, on karmaterminal.com, on Karma's own social accounts and community channels, in newsletters, and in materials that describe the Karma network. Typical example: "<Name> is now on Karma. Reward their work with your Karma." That is all: a factual statement that you joined and that people can back you.

5b. Your photo (optional, separate tick). If you also tick this box, Karma may use the profile photo on your page to introduce you and your work to the Karma community, in those same places, for example in an Instagram post welcoming you. Untick it and we introduce you with name and handle only.

What we will not do, in either case: put your name, handle or photo in paid advertising; hand them to third parties for their promotion; present you as endorsing Karma, a token, or anything beyond the fact that you are on Karma; or use them after you leave, except that posts already published stay up unless you ask us to take them down.

You can withdraw either permission any time by messaging us. New mentions stop within 14 days.

You can leave any time from your page or by messaging us. Your page comes down, people who staked with you get their κ back and are told you left, and future shares stop. κ already in your wallet stays yours. Your handle is added to a list so nobody can nominate you again unless you ask.

Keep your page accurate. Don't impersonate anyone or use your page to mislead the people backing you. We can pause or remove a page that does.

What we store and why is in our privacy notice: karmaterminal.com/privacy. In short: your handle, name, the photo and bio you gave us, your wallet and staking activity. Karma is run by the Karma community. You can ask us any time what we hold about you and to delete it.

If we change these terms we'll tell you in the app, and you can leave if you don't agree. These terms are governed by the law of the British Virgin Islands.
